Qasr al-Hallabat is one of the most extensively restored Umayyad desert palaces — dressed-stone walls, a mosque, a bathhouse at Hammam as-Sarah nearby and Greek inscriptions marking its conversion from Roman fort.
It is east of Amman on the Azraq road. Travellers who hire car & driver in Jordan include it on the castles loop, and full package tours to Jordan add the bathhouse.
