The North Theatre

The North Theatre of Jerash: an intimate 1,600-seat odeon from 165 AD.

The North Theatre, built around 165 AD on the Cardo's west side, is a smaller and more intimate auditorium than the South Theatre — its lower seating section survives almost completely, restored in places.

It once hosted civic meetings as well as performances. Travellers who hire car & driver in Jordan include it on the northern loop of the site, and full package tours to Jordan pair it with the Tetrapylon.
